To Word Problems For Multiplying Integers

Introduction :

Let us see about word problems for multiplying integers. The integers are the basic concepts in mathematics. The integers should perform the basic arithmetic operations like addition, multiplication, subtraction and division of the integers. The integers are either positive or negative. This article explains the word problems for multiplying integers. It is the reverse process of division.
Division can divide the integer but multiplication can increase the integer value.
Definition:

Multiplication is the process of adding numbers together. The integers are either negative or positive or both are negative or both are positive. The multiplication is very easy way of adding integers. It is inverse process of division. The multiplication should be represented as (x). Sometimes it’s called as product of two integers.
Examples:

Let us see about the word problems for multiple integers.

Problem 1:

Solve the word problems of multiplying integers. Rani bought six egg cartons, and each had 8 eggs. Two of the eggs were bad. How many good eggs did rani get?

Solution:

Egg cartons = 6.

Bad eggs =2.

Total number of eggs = 6 x 8.

= 48.

The bad eggs are = 48-2.

= 46.

The good eggs are 46.

Problem 2:

Solve the word problems for multiplying integers. John has three cars, Joseph has four cars and hari have five cars. Find total cars?

Solution:

John cars = 3.

Joseph cars = 4

Hari cars = 5.

Total cars = 3 x 4 x 5.

= 60.

The total number of cars is 60.

Problem 3:

Solve the word problems for multiplying integers. John has three cakes and Joseph has two cakes. Find total number of cakes?

Solution:

John has three cakes.

Joseph has two cakes.

Total number of cakes = 3 x 2.

Total numbers of cakes are 6.

Problem 4:

Solve the word problems for multiplying integers. John has 10 computers and rekha has 2 computers. Find total number of computers?

Solution:

John has ten computers.

Rekha has two computers.

Total number of computers = 10 x 2.

The total numbers of computers are 20.
